Worth Arthur Trogdon, Jr., age 76, of Asheboro, and a former resident of Jackson Springs, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Cross Road Retirement Community.
Mr. Trogdon was born in Norfolk, VA on March 15, 1944 to Worth Arthur and Adleta Chriscoe Trogdon. He was a 1961 graduate of Asheboro High School. Arthur was formerly employed with Union Carbide and Eckerd Wilderness Camp. In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Trogdon, sister, Shelby Moody, and brothers, Harvey and Roger Trogdon. Arthur enjoyed life and was always laughing. He loved fishing, car shows, racing, and playing golf.
He is survived by his sons, Rodney Trogdon (Denise) of Seagrove and Scott Trogdon of Seagrove; grandson, Brody Trogdon of Seagrove; granddaughter, Victoria O'dell of Virginia;
sisters, Brenda Roddy (Larry) of Asheboro, Sylvia Dabbs (Lewis) of Asheboro, and Sharon Grainger (Buddy) of Asheboro; brothers, Bob Trogdon (Mary Beth) of Eden and Bill Trogdon of Wilmington; several nieces and nephews; and step children, Randy, Danny Ray, John Wayne, and Connie Thompson.
Mr. Trogdon's body will lie in state on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 from 3:00-6:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.
A private graveside service will be held at Randolph Memorial Park. Family and friends will meet at Pugh Funeral Home on Sunset Avenue at 10:30 am to ride in procession to the cemetery.
