William Daniel “Bill” Lineberry, born February 5, 1942, in Guilford County, North Carolina, passed away surrounded by the love of the family he cherished. He was the son of Logan Weaver Lineberry II and Elsie Irene Stroupe Lineberry, and from his earliest days, he carried forward a strength, work ethic, and devotion to family that was defined by his upbringing.

In October of 1965, Bill married his high school sweetheart, Becky Farlow Lineberry, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in loyalty, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Together, they built a blended family of seven children who were the pride of his life: Brian Owen (Regina) of Mahahual, Mexico; Lisa (Jeff) Tuttle of Carolina Shores, NC; Tommy Lineberry of Asheboro, NC; Rita Hammond of Charleston, SC; Lynda Lineberry of Asheboro, NC; and Elizabeth Davis of Randleman, NC. Bill was preceded in death by his beloved son, Andy Lineberry, whose memory continued to inspire his deepest acts of service.

Bill was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, each of whom he loved with a gentle, steady affection. In his later years, he learned the importance of relationships and the value of time spent with family. He came to realize that family was his greatest strength and joy, and he delighted in every milestone, every gathering, and every opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments.

Raised in Randleman, NC, Bill grew into a standout athlete, earning recognition as a gifted football player at Randleman High School. This talent carried him to Mars Hill College, where he continued his athletic career before completing his education at Guilford College. Bill’s professional life began at Soabar Company, Inc., where he excelled as a salesman. His entrepreneurial spirit soon led him to build something of his own. In 1985, alongside Becky, he founded Label Line Ltd., and in later years, Crown Converters, creating two thriving businesses in Randolph County where he proudly served as President. His leadership, determination, and vision shaped the companies’ successes and left a lasting mark on the industry.

Bill’s love for the outdoors was lifelong and deeply felt. Horses and cattle were not simply hobbies—they were passions that brought him peace, purpose, and community. He was an active member of the North Carolina Polled Hereford Association, The American Saddlebred Horse Association, and The Cattlemen’s Association. Through these organizations, Bill and his family earned numerous ribbons, championships, and treasured memories.

One of the most profound expressions of Bill’s compassion was his dedication to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. In honor of his son Andy, Bill and Becky established the Andy Lineberry Sports Center—a recreational haven designed to uplift and support those with special needs. His work earned recognition from the Special Olympics Association, where he spent many hours volunteering. He was honored to serve on the Board of Directors for the Association for Retarded Citizens and the Davidson County Sheltered Workshop. Bill’s advocacy was heartfelt, personal, and enduring; he believed deeply in the dignity and worth of every person. He delighted in taking some of Andy’s friends to the Carolina Panthers games, and he and his family loved treating many of those friends to a special dinner annually during the Christmas holiday.

Those who knew Bill will remember his steady presence, his devotion to family, his passion for the land, his faith, and his commitment to helping others. His life was rich in purpose, and his memory will remain a blessing to all who loved him. He was known to provide monetary gifts to those in need and even purchased a small home for an employee of Label Line Ltd. whose family had become homeless.

Bill became a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church in Randleman, NC, where he found fellowship and a spiritual home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Weaver, and his son Andy. He leaves behind a legacy defined by love, service, resilience, and generosity—a legacy carried forward by his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and all who were touched by his kindness.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Mt. Lebanon UMC Church, 119 River Road Randleman, NC from Noon-1:30 PM. The Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the church with Rev. Joe Collins officiating.
