Wade Samuel Peeler

Wade Samuel Peeler, age 82, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019.  He was born in Guilford County on November 6, 1936, and was the youngest son of David and Fannie Watson Peeler. 

Wade grew up in the Level Cross community and attended Randleman High School (class of 1955).  He was a member of the Randleman First Wesleyan Church, where he worshipped and served until his decline in health.  As a licensed electrician, he worked with Vick Brothers Electric and retired from the maintenance department of Arrow International.  His hobby was work and enjoyed cutting wood and being outdoors.  He was a kind man who loved God and his family.  In addition to his parents, preceding him in death was his son, Douglas Wade Peeler; sisters: Dorothy Buckland and Louise Ritter; brothers:  David, Alvin and Nathron Peeler.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy Conner Peeler of the home; daughter Debbie Bowman and husband Randall; grandson, Chad Bowman; great-granddaughter, Alishia Bowman and great-grandson, Dawson Bowman; sisters:  Dovie Cox (Fred) of Randleman and Shirley Burton of McLeansville; nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 24, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman, 600 Main Street Randleman and other times at the family’s home. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Randleman with Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the staff of North Pointe Assisted Living of Archdale for their care and kindness throughout this past year during the late stages of dementia; Caregivers Karen Jones and Lydia Crozier for their compassionate care, unconditional love and support; Hospice of Randolph County and Amedisys Hospice of Burlington.
