PRICE, UTAH/RANDLEMAN, NORTH CAROLINA- The life of Virginia Dell Wallace Shaw—a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Virginia passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at her son's home in Randleman, North Carolina at the age of 80. Virginia was born on May 17, 1945, in Long Beach, California. She was the daughter of Willie (Pete) Walter Wallace and Helen Lunel Meredith. Throughout her life, Virginia embodied love, devotion, and quiet strength, always placing her family at the center of her world.

Virginia grew up in California and graduated from Artesia High School in 1963. She was deeply devoted to her family, finding her greatest joy in the bonds she shared with those she loved. Her home and heart were always open, and she took pride in caring for and supporting her family in every season of life. All who met Virginia were greeted with a warm smile and left knowing they were loved—a reflection of her kind heart and gentle spirit.

Throughout her life, Virginia faced many severe medical battles and complications. With remarkable courage, faith, and determination, she fought each challenge head-on and won time and again. Her strength and perseverance were an inspiration to her family and all who witnessed her resilience.

One of Virginia’s greatest passions was quilting. Through every stitch, she poured love, patience, and creativity into her work. Her quilts were more than handcrafted pieces—they were expressions of her heart, gifted to family members and friends as lasting symbols of comfort, warmth, and connection.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Willie (Pete) Walter Wallace and Helen Lunel Meredith; her sister, Evelyn Jean Williams; and her beloved husband, Alan Shaw, with whom she shared a deep and enduring bond.

Virginia is survived by her children, Marvin Shaw and Kimberly Parry, and their spouses, Debra Shaw and Bryan Parry. She was a devoted and loving grandmother to Amber and Ociel Lerma, Andrew and Jasmine Shaw, Trevor and Shea Parry, Amanda Shaw, Adam and Lexi Shaw, Justin and Kaylee Parry, Aaron and Ella Shaw, and Alisa Shaw. Her joy continued through her great-grandchildren, Melanie Lerma, Titus Shaw, Max Lerma, Mateo Parry, Fallon Parry, Cooper Parry, McCoy Parry, Elliot Shaw, and Everett Parry. She is also survived by her sisters, Thelma Lynn and Janice McDonald-Easterly, along with many extended family members and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

Virginia’s life was marked by devotion to family, quiet generosity, and a creative spirit that lives on through the quilts she lovingly made. Her presence was a blessing, and her legacy of love will continue to wrap around those she leaves behind—just as her quilts did—offering comfort, warmth, and remembrance. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
