Tony G. Moon

Tony G. Moon, age 68, of Avon, NC died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in Elizabeth City, NC. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel Asheboro with Rev. Dale Kennedy officiating. Mr. Moon was a native of Randolph County, was a graduate of Franklinville High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He was retired from Old Dominion Trucking in Chesapeake, VA and was preceded in death by his father, Henry Robert Moon and his brother, Henry Robert "Bob" Moon, Jr. Tony enjoyed fishing and cooking for his many friends at Avon Pier. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Virginia Moon Highfill of Franklinville, NC; sister, Pam Moon Redding and her husband Buddy of Asheboro, NC; sister-in-law, Margaret Thomas Moon of Asheboro, NC; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, October 26, 2007 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
