Tommy Odell Hinshaw

Tommy Odell Hinshaw, 65, of Climax passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at his home surrounded by family. He was born May 12, 1960 in Greensboro, NC to Emory Ray Hinshaw and Patty Sue Westmoreland Hinshaw.

Tommy will be loved and missed by all who knew him. He was the life of the party, loved to crack jokes, and could tell the best stories. Tommy loved his grandkids, loved working on tractors, and if you could not find him, he was in his garage. He never met a stranger, was an extremely hard worker, was always there when you needed him, and loved a good fish fry.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Debra Hinshaw of the home; daughters, Heather Williams (Josh), Shannon Ridge (LeRoy); stepsons, Michael Maynard (Nicole), Ronnie Lee Maynard (Dreama); grandchildren, Ashlyn Williams, Sawyer Williams, Levi Ridge, Sabrina Maynard, Logan Maynard, Jacob Newton, Ethan Maynard, Chloe Maynard, Aaron Maynard; mother, Patty Sue Hinshaw; brothers, Cecil Ray Hinshaw (Linitta), Jeffrey Dwayne Hinshaw; sister, Janet Lynn Hinshaw Hogan (Kent). He is now reunited in Heaven with his father, Ray Hinshaw, who preceded him in death.
