Thomas Franklin "Tom" Stalvey, age 74, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at his home.
Mr. Stalvey was born in Randolph County on July 21, 1946 to Louis and Ruth Angle Stalvey. Tom was a United States Air Force veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed as a Vice-President in Asset Management at Suntrust Bank. He was a very patriotic person and loved fast cars and motorcycles. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren very much. In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his sisters, Linda and Carol.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Stalvey Lawler and husband Alan of Leesburg, VA; son, Brett Stalvey of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Zoe, Ansley, Wyatt, and Skylin; siblings, Frances Fuller, Joy Barefoot and husband Jim, Michael Stalvey, Betty Stout and husband Ken, and Louis Stalvey.
Tom's body will lie in repose on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Wilkie officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
