Thomas Doak Poole

Thomas "Tommy" Doak Poole, age 69, of Asheboro died Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Mr. Poole was born May 26, 1951 in Randolph County to Doak and Dorothy Poole. He attended Asheboro High School and was a carpenter. Mr. Poole loved fishing and NASCAR. He had a great love for his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Poole was preceded in death by his grandson, Brent Hale and brother David Poole. He is survived by daughters, Jaime Batchelor and husband Ricky of Franklinville, Jennifer Keaton of Asheboro; grandchildren, Matthew Hale, Jonathan Wilkerson, Samantha, Chandler, Landon and Logan Batchelor; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Yow of Asheboro, Carole Andrews and husband Joe of Thomasville; brother, Marvin Croaker and wife Libby of Richmond, VA; mother of his children, Vivian Cook. Mr. Poole donated his body to science for medical research. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the family.
