Terry Cheyenne Lewallen, 68, of Asheboro went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 19, 2026 at his home.
Terry was born November 2, 1957 in Asheboro. Terry was known for his love of Green Bay Packers football and watching the games with his late sister. Terry was an avid college athletics fan, always supporting his UNC Tarheels and Lenoir-Rhyne Bears. He also loved softball and basketball, often coaching his girls’ teams. He also shared a love of wrestling with his mom. He also had a love of heavy metal music, road trips, and attending concerts with his beloved daughters, who were his everything. He loved to ride dirt bikes and race 3-wheelers and shared that love with his brother Larry. He was also an auto body repairman taught by his father.
Terry graduated from Asheboro High School in 1976 and went on to do many things-his most recent, a 32 year long career with Town of Ramseur Wastewater Treatment Facility.
Terry was a loving husband, father, brother, nephew, and cousin.
He is survived by his wife B.J., and 2 daughters, Tamara and Terra, both of the home. Also his brother, Larry and wife Susan. His beloved dog “Thor” and his favorite grand-pup, Cirice, who he affectionately called “Non-Friend,” and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many lifelong friends.
Terry is preceded in death by his late parents, Larry, Sr. and Norma as well as his younger sister, Rhonda. He is also preceded in death by his “first child” dog-Conan, his cat “Idgit”, and beloved Doberman, Gypsy.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Brady Barker with Amedisys Home Health and Nicole Harlee with Amedisys Hospice for their care and compassion.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 23rd from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 24th at 3:30 pm at the Glenn “Mac” Pugh Chapel with Pastor Todd Brown officiating.
