Teresa Ann Smith Rudelt

Teresa Ann Rudelt, 62, of Randleman, North Carolina, passed away on September 18, 2026.

Teresa lived life very much on her own terms. She was strong-willed, spirited, and rarely concerned with following a conventional path. The relationships she chose to invest herself in mattered deeply to her, particularly her bond with her mother and the friendships she maintained throughout her life. Those who knew Teresa knew that she could be colorful, unpredictable, and unmistakably herself.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Rudelt; her son, Robert Lee Pittman; her father, Buddy Smith; 
and her brothers, Raymond Townson and Danny Smith.

Teresa is survived by her mother, Edith Whipkey; her daughter, April Hatchel; her stepdaughter, Rebecca Rudelt; her grandchildren, Rebecca Hardy, Aryn Neel, Caleb Collins, Emmalee Collins, and Lincoln Collins; her brother, Michael Gallimore; her stepsister, Pam Edney; as well as friends and others whose lives became intertwined with hers over the years.
