Temple Dawn Shaw

Temple Dawn Shaw, 62, of Randleman, NC peacefully entered her Heavenly home surrounded by the love of her family Wednesday September 30, 2026.

Temple was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She was born to Clyde and Endra Quate July 10, 1964 in Greensboro, NC. She grew up in Level Cross, NC. She was the third of five children, so she was both the baby sister and the big sister.Temple loved her family very much, from her older brothers, younger sisters, two children, one step-daughter, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was always willing to give her time and was always happy to offer good Christian advice.

Temple loved the beach, especially Emerald Isle, NC. It was her place to truly relax and enjoy God's creation. She was a devout Christian and very happy to serve the Lord. She never passed up an opportunity to tell someone about Jesus Christ and she was very steadfast in her faith and the belief that through Christ all things are possible. If you had a problem and Temple knew about it her first question would be "have you prayed about it?" and her next piece of advice would be to "just put it in God's hands."

Temple was diagnosed with breast cancer but never let that stop her. She continued to work, never complaining about her diagnosis and when asked how she did it she would quote her favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Temple is survived by her husband Wayne Shaw, her son Adam Cox (Amber), her daughter Jennifer Leonard (Scott) and her step-daughter Crystal Boyers (Jeff). Her brothers Terry Pyrtle (Connie), Tommy Quate and her sisters Tammy Branson (Bobby) and Tracy Parker (Mike). Her grandchildren Nathan, Noah, Nolan and Adaley Cox. Joshua Briggs (Ajaysea), Emma Briggs. Ryan, Dylan and Pierce Leonard (Chenleigh). Mia Fesmire (Jesse) and Sophie Macon. Great grandchildren Rylinn, Grey and Nova Leonard.

Temple is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Endra Quate and her grandson, Mason Briggs.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 from 12:00 - 1:50 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main Street, Randleman. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM in the Eddie Pugh Memorial Chapel with Reverend Tommy Kidd officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.

Temple loved listening to Joy FM so in lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the radio station.
