Tamara “Tammi” Lynn Pilon Broadwell, 69, of Greensboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Clapp’s Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.
Tammi was born on September 4, 1956, in King County, Washington, to Terry and Patricia Stephens Pilon. She graduated from high school in Missouri and later earned a degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Before beginning her professional career, Tammi proudly served her country in the United States Air Force.
Throughout her career, Tammi worked as a corporate accountant for the City of Fayetteville, Borden Chemical, and the Greensboro News & Record. She was known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dedication to those around her.
Outside of work, Tammi found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening and took great pride in caring for her yard and flowers. As an avid reader, Tammi especially enjoyed Stephen King novels and murder mysteries. More than anything, Tammi treasured time spent with her family and the companionship of her beloved dog, Ginger. Her quiet strength, caring nature, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Tammi was preceded in death by her father, Terry Pilon.
She is survived by her sons, Adam Grosch of Fayetteville and Anthony Grosch (Shea) of Asheboro; her cherished grandson, Tatum Grosch; her mother, Patricia “Pat” Pilon of Tucson, Arizona; her siblings, Wendy (Ted), Kathy (Norman), and Steve (Jill); and her beloved dog, Ginger.
A memorial service will be held on June 15, 2026 at 2:30pm at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28144, with Pastor Randy Kelly officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial memorials may be made in Tammi’s honor to the Randolph County SPCA, 300 W. Bailey Street, Asheboro, NC 27203.
