Talmadge Bennett Freeman 89 of Randleman passed away on December 9th. A native of Montgomery County he was the youngest of 15 siblings to Bennett E and Sarah Cagle Freeman. He served in the Navy during WWII as a torpedo man and plank owner of the USS Floyd B Parks. Upon returning to the US he worked in textiles until retirement and then delivered flowers for his son at Freeman's Florist & Gifts in Randleman. He was on the "Flight of Honor" which was sponsored through the Randolph Rotary Club. This allowed him to see the WWII Memorial in Washington DC. He was a long time member of the First Christian Church in Randleman and attended Shady Grove Christian Church in Star, NC.
He was preceeded in death by his parents Bennett E and Sara Cagle Freeman and siblings Pearl Fink Brim, Alease Cole, Ila Mae Cole, Mary Posey, Nell Hicks, Nina Lee, Sara Miche Freeman, Willard Freeman, Artemus Freeman, Fentress Freeman, Lloyd Freeman, Raymond Freeman and Barna Freeman.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Marie Small Freeman of the home, daughter Cynthia (Richard) Ivey and son Jeff (Angie) Freeman both of Randleman.
Grandchildren Kimberly (Cash) Bowman of Climax, Wendy (Jeremy) Maness, Courtney Freeman and Jordan Freeman all of Randleman. Great grandchildren Tyler Bowman, Jacob Bowman, Cayla Maness, Harrison Maness, Luke Maness and Levi Maness.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 Wednesday December 14th at Pugh Funeral Home in Randleman. Funeral will be 1:00pm on Thursday December 15th at Pugh Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Mills, Rev. Jimmy Shirlen and Rev Jeff Freeman burial at Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
