Susan “Susie” Brady Cook, 64 of Lexington passed away at her home. The Lord called her home on July 2, 2026.

She was born June 6, 1962, in Randolph County, NC to Leon Colbert Brady, Jr. and Maudie Louvine Ritter. She was very devoted to her family and willing to help anyone.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents Leon Colbert Brady, Jr. and Maudie Louvine Ritter Brady.

Susan attended Forsyth Tech where she obtained her LPN certification. She was employed by Forsyth Memorial Hospital before ending her nursing career with Hospice of Randolph. Known as a wonderful caregiver, there was no limit to her devotion. During her free time, she enjoyed the outdoors, fishing with family, tanning, gardening, or simply playing outside with her grandkids. She enjoyed bluegrass music, cooking, and baking as well. She loved her fur babies, especially her cat Sunshine. Susan loved people but also prided herself in independence. She is a true blessing to anyone who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Shane Burrow and his wife Crystal, as well as her two grandchildren, Nathan and Noah Burrow, her niece, Bassie, and nephews, Richard, Thomas, Manuel, Jr., Christian, and Tyler. She leaves behind wonderful brothers and sisters, Patricia Lovingood (David), Alphus Brady, Angela Salmeron (Manuel), and Joe Brady (Misty). She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, and Sunshine the cat.

The family will hold a private ceremony at the home.
