Susan Whitt Collins

Susan Whitt Collins, age 65, of Asheboro died Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Collins was born August 20, 1955 to Winfred and Rebecca Whitt. She was a former member of Calvary United Methodist Church, a member of Asheboro Civitans and retired from Randolph County Schools as a bus driver. Mrs. Collins was also employed with Nita's Boutique as a nail technician. She volunteered with the Special Olympics and the election polls. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her brothers John and Richard Whitt. She is survived by her husband, Bill Collins, sisters, Judy Parrish and husband Troy Parrish of Randleman, Tammy Hughes of Asheboro; step children, Jason and Christopher Collins of Trinity; special niece and her husband and nephew, Brittany and Thomas Jordan of Sophia. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Daniel Carter officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
