Shirley Dale Manning Roberson, age 79, of Troy, NC, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Dale was born on January 2, 1947, in Baltimore, MD, to Leo and Louise Britton Manning.

Dale was a dedicated and caring nurse, spending most of her career working in the neonatal unit. She could also be found working on an embroidery or crochet project. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her purpose in life was to be a witness to her faith and lead others to Jesus. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Claye Manning.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Mark Roberson; her brother, Bill Manning of Niceville, FL; her sister-in-law, Sondra Manning of Lexington, SC; nieces, Erin Womack of Pinehurst, NC, Melanie Johnston of DeFuniak Springs, FL, and Lisa Trapp of Niceville, FL; nephews, Derek Manning of Freeport, FL, Tyler Manning of Lexington, SC, and Doug Thomas of Durham, NC; special friends, Patricia Haas of Cherryville, NC, and Mary Harris of Cowpens, SC; and her K-9 companion, Jasmine.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Pugh Troy Funeral Home Chapel, 211 N. Main St., Troy, NC, with Rev. Britt Davis officiating.
