. Shirley Louanne Presnell Luck, age 78, of Asheboro died Friday, June 27, 2014 at Cross Road Retirement Community, Asheboro. Mrs. Luck was born July 7, 1935 the daughter of Charlie Presnell and Margaret Hancock Presnell. Mrs. Luck was a native of Randolph County and was formerly employed in retail sales. She was a member of Mountain of Faith Church. Shirley was a loving, caring mother, grandmother and a dedicated wife who was always putting others first. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Johnny Luck; sisters: Nellie Cole and Belle Sineath; brothers, Clay, Charles, Colon and Billy Presnell. She is survived by daughter: April Luck of Asheboro, NC; son: John Luck and his wife, Suzanne of Atlanta, GA, grandchildren: Mallory Moore and her husband, Jacob of King , NC, Brandon Salmons of Asheboro, NC and Casey Luck of Atlanta, GA; great-grandchild: Kaydence Salmons of King, NC. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Edwards and Rev. John Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Spoons Chapel Christian Church Cemetery, Asheboro.
