Hazel Coble

Hazel Hall Coble, 90, of Franklinville passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 9, 2026, surrounded by her family. Hazel was born in Stokes County, NC to Lonnie Vester Hall and Minnie Verdia Whitten Hall.

Hazel was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Edward Jackson Coble (Jack), her parents Lonnie and Verdia Hall, Sisters Eunice Johnson, Louvie Harger, Edith Little and Jean Wright and Brother Ivan Hall.

She is survived by her children: daughter Deborah Coble Winfrey and her husband Tim, son Robert Coble and his wife Carrie. Her grandchildren — Clayton Holcomb (Ann Morgan Fallaw), Amanda Lake, Cameron Winfrey (Kellen), Jamie McDonald (Todd), Lindsey Angel (Michael), Nick Coble (Laura Camp), her eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and her beloved sister-in-law Peggy Coble, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Hazel's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Authora Care Hospice (Bry, Amy, Amelia, Anne Marie, Gabby, Debra and Keisha) caregivers Candy Parrish, Cathy Moore, and LaVon Hinshaw who cared for her with compassion and dignity.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 11:00 to 11:45 at Bethany Methodist Church, 3650 Bethany Church Road, Franklinville, NC with funeral at noon and burial to follow with Reverend Jenna Grogran officiating.

Memorials may be made to Bethany Community Methodist Church Cemetery Fund at 3650 Bethany Church Road, Franklinville, NC 27248.
