Shani Anne Johnsson Johnson

Nov 8, 1964 — Jul 26, 2026

Dobson

Shani Anne Johnson, 61, of Dobson, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, at Olin Village Assisted Living.

Born on November 8, 1964, in Uppsala, Sweden, Shani was the daughter of Christer and Monica Johnsson. She graduated from Lötskolan High School in 1983. At the age of 9, she experienced the loss of her father, a loss that stayed with her throughout her life.

Shani worked as a dog trainer in her younger years, combining her patience with a love for animals. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—a fresh cup of coffee each morning, a tidy home, and anything sweet, especially saltwater taffy. She was often strict about her family attending church, making sure they were present every Sunday.

More than anything, Shani loved spending time with her family. She was a devoted fan of NCIS, especially Jethro Leroy Gibbs, who she would’ve said was the best part of the show. She also had a deep appreciation for Native American culture, particularly the Sioux Nation.

She is survived by her daughters, Melanie Beltz of Lexington and Brittany Beltz of High Point; her three beloved grandchildren; and her brother, Mikael Johnsson of Sweden.

No services are planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National MS Society, P.O. Box 91891, Washington, DC 20090-1891.

Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is proudly serving the Johnson family.
