Ryan Taylor Bland age 26 of Denton, NC, passed away suddenly on September 22, 2026. Ryan was born in St. Louis Missouri on March 22, 2000, to his parents Richard Bland and Deanne Birch Bland.

Ryan was a sensitive and tender-hearted soul who loved nature and animals and was devoted to his family. He enjoyed going for hikes and playing games with his family, reading good books, and visiting art museums. Ryan was a talented artist and he created beautiful modern designs from an early age. He was a vegetarian and caretaker of his feline best friend Sophie, who he rescued as a kitten from a very sad situation. One of his final acts was to purchase a butterfly highway seed mix from the Butterfly Highway program of the NC Wildlife Federation with plans to plant perennial flower seeds to feed butterflies and other pollinators. His family will ensure that the seeds he purchased are planted in his honor. Ryan was very much loved by his family who will miss him terribly but hold on to the promises of God that he is in the arms of Jesus now and know they will be reunited with him again someday in heaven.

Ryan is survived by his parents: Richard and Deanne Bland of Denton, NC; brothers: Ricky Bland (Karen) of Marshville, NC and Robby Bland of Harrisburg, NC; one niece: Bailey Bland.
