Roy Junious Robertson

Roy J. Robertson, age 89, of Sophia died Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Westchester Manor, High Point. Mr. Robertson was a native of La Cross, VA and retired from Axzo, formerly Reliance in High Point. Roy loved to fish and enjoyed woodworking. He watched western movies and read their novels and he would listen to short wave radio. But most of all he enjoyed his 8 pm ICE CREAM the best. Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Lee and Nina Winfrey Robertson, sisters: Ethel Stafford and Carrie Lee Champion. He is survived by his wife of 70 years: Margaret Viola West Robertson of the home; daughter: Deborah R. Hancock and her husband Craig of Randleman; grandson: Richard Price of Randleman; 1 great grandchild; 3 great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Bud McDowell officiating. Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman is serving the Robertson family.
