Ronald Gywnn Tarlton

Ronald Gywnn Tarlton, age 72, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Tarlton was born in Norfolk, VA on November 30, 1949 to Billy and Lillie Diggs Tarlton.  Ronald was a  1970 graduate of Asheboro High School and served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.  He was retired from Unique Tool in Millboro after 43 years of service.  Ronald was a member of Oakwood Park Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Auman Tarlton and son, Brian Lee Tarlton. Ronald loved being a pawpaw and loved eating at Dixie III.

He is survived by his son, Ronald "Glenn" Tarlton; granddaughter, Ashley Ingold (Nick); great grandchildren, Sophia Grace Upchurch and Lillian Elanie Primm; and his siblings, Patty Herbert (Fred), Billy Ray Tarlton (Janice), Jim Tarlton, Kenny Tarlton, and Cheryl Hurley (Rocky).

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 12:00-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.  Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Richard Crider officiating.  Burial will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
