Ronald Burns Strayhorn

Ronald Burns Strayhorn, age 75, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Mr. Strayhorn was born in Randolph County on August 20, 1941 to Lacy and Edna Way Strayhorn. Ronald was a member of Academy Street Baptist Church in Randleman. In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother, Michael "Mickey" Strayhorn. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Parker Strayhorn; son, Bryant Strayhorn and wife Karen of Asheboro; and grandson, William Strayhorn of Asheboro. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 9:30-10:45 am at Academy Street Baptist Church, 326 W. Academy St., Randleman. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 11:00 am at Academy Street Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Green officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Strayhorn family.
