Rodney Lihugh Parrish

Rodney Lihugh Parrish, age 60, of Randleman, North Carolina, passed away on July 7, 2026, in Guilford County.

Rodney was born on June 24, 1966, in Randolph County to the late Lawson Lihugh Parrish and Margaret Saunders Parrish.

Rodney loved his family and friends deeply, cherishing every moment spent with them, especially during the 18 wonderful years he shared with his beloved wife Kellie. He also treasured the companionship of his little buddy Ollie, a jack Russell terrier who accompanied him nearly everywhere he went.

Rodney was always working on a new project. Though not every project was completed, he always had something in the works and enjoyed the process as much as the result. His greatest passion was racing. He competed in the Late Model division and his life revolved around fast cars, racing, and above all helping other. Those same qualities of enthusiasm and determination served him well from his beginnings working with his family at Milltowne Furniture and continued on through many different occupations over the years. He was a man of many skills and no matter the task, he was equipped for the job; if you had problem, he had a solution.

Rodney was preceded in death by his father, who was there to welcome him home.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kellie Parrish; his mother, Margaret Saunders Parrish; his children, Chance Parrish, Eddie Garner (Samantha), Jackson Garner (Cheyann), Mason Garner (Elly), and Grace Garner; his grandchildren, Anna-Leigh, Elizabeth, Gracyn, Chloe, and Scarlett.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Randolph Hospice House.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Midway Wesleyan Church, 331 Worthville Road, Randleman, NC 27317. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Arnold Luther, Andy Garner, and Lee Carter. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
