Rita Renee' Wilson

Rita Renee´ Wilson, age 67 of Randleman passed away on April 29, 2026 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Renee´ was born in Charlotte on May 11, 1958 to Kenneth and Jo Ellen Pennington Wilson. She was formerly employed as a social worker at Staywell. Renee´ loved trying new things. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, and her flowers. She enjoyed becoming part of her community, making sure to always talk to her neighbors everyday. Renee´ enjoyed sitting on the porch and loved going to the mountains, especially Meadows of Dan in Virginia. Her most important life decision was receiving Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Renee´ was always known as a “Daddy’s Girl.” Kenneth preceded her in death.

She is survived by her fur-babies, Missy and Honey, whom she loved very much; mother, Jo Ellen Cranford; brother, Bryan Wilson; sister, Rebecca Nelson; stepsisters, and Marda Camp and Donna Dickens.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 12:00-12:50 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 1:00 pm at the Glenn “Mac” Pugh Chapel with Pastor Jerry Pennington officiating. Interment will be held at Randolph Memorial Park.
