Richard "Earl" Wall, a steadfast supporter of his loved ones, an avid golfer, and a lifelong friend to many, passed away on June 10, 2023, just one day shy of his 90th birthday. Born to Charles Henry Wall and Lottie Ethel Allred on June 11, 1933, Earl was raised with the virtues of hard work, resilience, and dedication. These principles guided his life, taking him from his early days serving in the Army to becoming a recognized figure in the printing industry. In 1986, Earl channeled his experiences and acumen into co-founding Wall Printing, creating a legacy that will continue to shape the industry. Those who worked with Earl fondly remember his dedication to the craft, firm but fair leadership, and ability to find joy in the minutest details. Earl was an ardent golfer away from work, a passion often apparent in his numerous friendly gin games at Asheboro City Golf Course. He cherished his golfing companions’ laughter, stories, and camaraderie echoing long past the games. Equally important to him was his time spent at the Nautilus Gym well into his late 80s, a testament to his tenacity and zest for life. A lover of plants and flowers, Earl found beauty in nature, which was reflected in his care for his dogs. Those close to him will fondly remember his daily ritual meals at the Dipper restaurant, where he was a familiar and cherished patron. Earl shared 40 years of his life with his beloved wife, Ruth, before finding love again with Bobbie Jean Jenkins. Both relationships enriched his life, showing him the different hues of love and companionship. Earl, a man of strong will and good humor, was no saint, as anyone from his gin games could attest. But his love for his friends and family, loyalty, and commitment to living life on his own terms made him a figure of respect and affection. He is survived by his caregiver, Gale Wall Vitamvas, and numerous nieces and nephews, including Connie Bush, Judy Burrough, and Juanita Roth. Earl’s generous spirit and enduring love have profoundly shaped their lives and many others’ lives. Memorials can be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, a cause close to Earl's heart. As we say goodbye to Earl, we celebrate his life and the light he shone on all of us. His memories will linger in our hearts, like the scent of the flowers he loved dearly
