Rhonda Gayle Swaney Maynard

Rhonda Gayle Swaney Maynard, age 57, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Maynard was born in Randolph County on March 26, 1964 to Henry and Patricia Allred Swaney and was a graduate of Randleman High School. Rhonda was formerly employed with Rice Hosiery and Acme-McCrary. She had also worked a maintenance supervisor for a landscaping company, the NC Zoo, and with her son in his heating and air company. Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, Henry Swaney and her stepfather, Clinton Cagle. Rhonda had a giving heart and was always helping others. She loved her grandbabies and her animals.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Gary Maynard; sons, Chad Swaney (Debbie) of Asheboro and Brandon Levan of Asheboro; grandchildren, Alyssa, Hannah, Kristen, Levi, Nathan, Layla, Emily, and Lucas; mother, Patricia Cagle of Randleman; brothers, Terry Lee Swaney (Terri) of Lake Tillery and Dwayne Edward Swaney of Asheboro.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 5:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro with Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating.
