Rhoda Eliza Hersey Longley

Rhoda Eliza Hersey Longley, age 67, of Asheboro died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. No Services Will Be Held At This Time. Mrs. Longley was born May 30, 1947 the daughter of Pearlie Andrew and Hazel Patterson Hersey. Mrs. Longley was a native of Caribou, Maine, later returning to Madawaska Lake, Maine. She was formerly self-employed, having her own cleaning business. Rhoda enjoyed creative writing and was a very outgoing, friendly person who never met a stranger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings; Daniel Hersey and Evelina Farley. She is survived by one daughter: Joanne Frye and her husband, Roy of Seagrove, NC; two sons: Jonathan Doak and his wife, Kimberly of Ft. Hood, TX and Raymond Longley of Wilmington, NC; five grandchildren: Ashley Morris of Fairbanks, AK, Casey Blalock of Robbins,NC, Jessica Doak of Ft. Hood, TX, Amber Doak of Ft. Hood, TX, Dakota Cousins of Seagrove, NC; 3 great grandchildren: Cheyenne Blalock, Emma Blalock and Henry Morris; two brothers and their wife: Elwood and Nancy Hersey and Lloyd and Doris Hersey.
