Rev. Calvin Mitchell Walker

Reverend Calvin "Mitchell" Walker passed  away Saturday, July 30th 2022 at his home in Asheboro.  Before retiring Reverend Walker had been a minister for over 50 years serving various churches.  He was a faithful follower of Christ.  He was known as a devoted husband, a loving father-grandfather and a "forever" friend.

Funeral services for Reverend Walker will be held Thursday, August 4th at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro with Pastor Jeff Freeman officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 until 1:45 at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at the Grays Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Reverend Walker is survived by one daughter, Teresa Chaney of Greensboro, 4 sons, Dennis ( Kim) Walker of Asheboro, Scott (Sherry) Walker of Asheboro, Andy (Jennifer) Walker of Asheboro, and Matt Walker of San Diego, CA,11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecelia Story Walker.
