He served in the US Navy, and he and his wife relocated to North Carolina in 1989. He retired from Stoney Brook University as an engineer in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His favorite hobby was hunting deer and large game. He was a really easy-going person and a jokester.
