Pearlie Lee Farlow Miller, 87, of Asheboro, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 8, 2016.
Pearlie was a dedicated, faithful member of Mt. Shepherd United Methodist Church.
Pearlie was retired as a Labor & Delivery Nurse with Randolph Hospital after 40 years of service. She was a proud member of the team that delivered the first baby utilizing the Lamaze method of childbirth. She loved sports from watching her sons play football and baseball to following the Atlanta Braves. Pearlie was passionate about her yard and her flowers, but most of all she was proud of her grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Shepherd United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. J. Harold Hammond, Rev. Rick McCranie, and Rev. Lee Ellis; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.
Pearlie was the daughter of the late William Penn and Elizabeth Hogan Farlow and was also preceded in death by her husband Hal Miller, brother Frank Farlow and sister DeEtte Dickerson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Steve Miller (Karen) of Asheboro, Rick Miller (Becky) of Wilmington; grandchildren, Christopher Miller of Columbia, MO, Matthew Miller of Jackson, MO, Lauren Golden (Matt) of Raleigh, and Corey Miller of Los Angeles, CA; great granddaughter, Evie May Golden; sisters, Blanche Satterfield of Asheboro, DeEtta Hill of Asheboro, Nellie Hunt of Thomasville, Essie Brady of Biscoe, and Alberta Hurley of Wilmington.
