Patricia Gibson Cooke, age 87 of Richfield, NC, formerly of Troy, NC, entered into eternal peace on Monday, August 10, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Patricia was born in Montgomery County on December 22, 1938, to the late Hiram Claudius Gibson, Sr, and the late Monnie Belle Atkins Gibson, one of eight children. She was a graduate of Troy High School and became a beautician, owning and operating Pat's Beauty Salon in Troy for many years. Patricia was a godly wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a very dedicated Minister's wife. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She loved working in her flowers in her spare time. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by her daughter: Kathy Cooke Collingwood (Dale) of Richfield, NC; her son: Michael Raeford Cooke (Eva) of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren: Kimberly Collingwood Allen (Tommy), Jordan Collingwood (Tabitha), Michael Raeford Cooke II, and Katie Cooke Georges (Pete); great grandchildren: Harlow, Clark, Evie, Everett, and one on the way; siblings: Evon McIntyre and Joyce Jarrell. She was preceded in death by her husband Raeford Wesley Cooke, and siblings Hiram Gibson, Jr., Rev. Lonnie Gibson, Frances Kelly, Shirley Elam, and Ruby Hunsucker.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 819 Mt. Carmel Church Rd., Troy, NC 27371, with son-in-law Rev. Dale Collingwood, son Michael Raeford Cooke, grandson Jordan Collingwood, and nephew Tommy Elam officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 noon to 1:45 PM. at the church. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, Main Street, Troy, NC.
