Pal Fish, Jr., age 69, of Freeman Electric Rd., Troy, NC, died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.
Pal was born March 9, 1945 at Carteret County, NC, the son of Pal Fish and Mary Salter Byrd.
He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church of Troy and a retired employee of Freeman Electric. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Mack Salter.
Pal is survived by his wife of 47 years: Judy Freeman Fish of the home; two sons: Lee Fish and wife, Joy of Troy, Jamie Fish and wife, Sherry of Biscoe. 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; one sister: Sue Boyd of Candor.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main St., Troy; other times at the home of Lee and Joy Fish, 156 Freeman Electric Rd., Troy. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3:00 pm at Prospect Baptist Church, 2889 River Rd., Troy with Rev. Lee Fish officiating. Burial, with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard, will be in Southside Cemetery, South Main St., Troy.
