Nella Redding Lilly

Nella Redding Lilly, 90, of Randleman passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at Hospice of Randolph. She was born November 11, 1930 in Randolph County, NC to Dallas Lester Redding and Rachel Dennis Redding.

Nella was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a graduate of Randleman High School where she was a majorette. Nella was married to the love of her life, Cletus, for 74 years. She loved being with her family and spending as much time as possible with those she cherished. Nella was an excellent cook and loved hosting large gatherings or holiday meals, especially Christmas, as it was her favorite. She was involved with various churches and their children’s ministries. Nella ran a home daycare and took care of over 100 children during that time. Her legacy will continue with her teachings. Nella was a true Christian woman with a heart of gold.

Nella is survived by her children, Rebecca Throckmorton (Barry) of Virginia, Michael Lilly (Annette) of Mayodan, Rex Lilly (Dennette) of Seagrove, David Lilly (Tammie) of Summerfield; grandchildren, Brian Cole Lilly of Seagrove, Thomas Lilly of Seagrove; great-grandchildren, Leigh Kipe of Asheboro, Lily Kipe of Randleman. She is survived additionally by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Nella will join her loving husband, Cletus, who preceded her in death October 15, 2026.
