Nadine Shotwell Enyart, 80, passed away on July 1, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center.
Nadine was a warm and compassionate woman, whose stubbornness was part of her charm. She cherished even the simplest conversations, always welcoming others with open arms. When someone faced difficulties, she readily stepped in to help lighten their load, demonstrating her generous heart. Although she had a strong aversion to being told what to do, even when it came to taking a much-needed break, her dedication to work was evident in everything she did. Her compassion for others shone through her every action, making her a truly remarkable person.
She was born on August 14, 1944, to Henry and Cordie Capps Shotwell. Despite having four siblings, Nadine was gifted in making everyone feel like family. Most importantly, she was a loving mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by those closest to her.
Nadine is survived by her adoring children, son, James Enyart, and daughter, Gail Enyart (Chuck), all of the home. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Ruth Nadine Vaneiken, Brian Vaneiken, and Charles “Little Chucky” Vaneiken.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her late husband, James Claude Enyart.
The family will receive friends in a public visitation on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 3:00pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel – Randleman, 600 S. Main St. Randleman, NC 27317. A memorial service for Nadine will follow at 4:00pm with brother Mike Thompson officiating.
