Michael Thomas "Tommy" Hamilton

Michael Thomas "Tommy" Hamilton, age 79 of Star, NC, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation in Biscoe, NC.

Michael was born in Montgomery County, NC on April 18, 1947, to the late Crola Watson Hamilton and the late Flora E. Morris Hamilton. He was a graduate of West Montgomery High School. He was a 10 year Veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving his country in the Vietnam War. Michael worked for 22 years at Alcoa in the Pot Room, smelting Aluminum. He then was a truck driver for 4 years, until his retirement. He loved the beach, and being outside working in his yard. His passion was working on old cars, particularly Mopar's with a Hemi engine.

Michael is survived by his sister Loretta Morris (Bobby) of Troy, his caretakers for the past 10 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: James, Billy, Jimmy and Larry and 5 sisters: Pauline Elgie Clarice Shirley and Jean.

Services will be private.
