Michael Anthony Johnson

ASHEBORO – Michael Anthony Johnson, age 52 of Asheboro passed away on Friday May 10th at Baptist Hospital .  Mr. Johnson was born in Welch, West Virginia on June 22, 1971 to Bill Ray and Anna Phillips Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; his brother Roger and sisters Gay and Teresa.  He is survived by his wife Tina; children Chantal Johnson (John Jordan) and Jayden Johnson; brothers Estil, Billy, Brian, and Kenny; sisters Sharon, Carol, Mary and Paula as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Johnson had a coin collection and was a hard worker. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and cooking on the grill.  He was excited to be a grandfather for which he was grateful.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro from 2:00-4:00 PM.  No services are planned.
