Melissa Briles Rich

Melissa Jane Briles Rich, age 48, of Asheboro passed away on July 2, 2025 at her home.

Melissa was born in Portsmouth, VA on August 21, 1976. She attended Randleman High School and loved going to her church, New Hope Church. Melissa enjoyed starting and ending her day with her coffee. She loved watching TV and was an avid Duke Blue Devils fan. Melissa had a great sense of humor, was always joking around, and was the life of any party. Melissa loved people. She never met a stranger, had a big heart, and was a big hugger. She loved to party, shoot pool, and travel to the beach and mountains.

She is survived by her mother, Beverly Capps Allred of the home; father, William Briles, Jr. of Kentucky; brother, William “Billy” Briles of Kentucky; and sisters, Serena Williams and Crystal Briles both of Asheboro.

A celebration of Melissa’s life will be held at a later date.
