Maxine Blair Braxton Crawford, 82, of Asheboro, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the Randolph Hospice House.

Maxine was born on July 17, 1944, the firstborn child of Harold and Alma Braxton in the Snow Camp area of Alamance County. Maxine had a lifelong love of music, outdoor activities, and watching the UNC Tarheels play basketball. Maxine cherished her family and was immensely proud of and enthusiastically supported her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all of their endeavors.

Maxine will always be remembered for her incredible strength, work ethic, and devotion to her family. She approached life with a humble spirit and unwavering positive attitude. Maxine was immensely kind, with her gentle nature shining through in everything she did.
