Matthew "Matt" Daniel McPherson

Matthew "Matt" Daniel McPherson, age 36, of Asheboro passed away on May 3, 2023.

Matt was born in Randolph County on December 9, 1986 and was a 2005 graduate of Asheboro High School. He was formerly employed with Don Pritchard Trucking & Grading and attended Soldiers of Mercy Motorcycle Ministry in Ramseur. Matt was always happy growing up and enjoyed his '66 Mustang and other old cars. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and ATV's, watching movies, and playing video games. 

He is survived by his daughters, Madison and Lacie McPherson; mother and stepfather, Darlene and Don Pritchard of Asheboro; father, Phil McPherson of Asheboro; brothers, Michael McPherson of Asheboro, Neal Pritchard of Asheboro, Ian McPherson of Texas, and Nathan McPherson of Texas; and grandparents, Harold and Bernice Moffitt of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 12:30-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home,437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dallas Street officiating. Burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery.
