Thomas Kennedy, age 21 of Randleman, NC, was lost suddenly on Wednesday night, June 4, 2025.
Thomas was a gentle and kind soul, who loved to read and aspired to become a published author someday. He cared deeply about those around him, and the world at large, and was always willing to help out any way he was able. He enjoyed traveling and good food, was especially fond of cats, and spending time online, gaming and chatting with his friends. He had a love for eclectic music, complex and thought-provoking stories, took joy in simple and lovely things, and was incredibly intelligent and hardworking. He enjoyed kayaking and spending time in nature, and just being in the presence of loved ones on a regular basis.
Thomas is survived by his parents, Adam and Nichole Kennedy of Randleman; grandparents Kay and Marty Hayes of Randleman, CW Kennedy of Asheboro, and Robin Carico of Sophia. Aunt Nicole Jacobs, uncle Jeremy, and cousin Kylie of Randleman. Aunt Melissa Craven, uncle Kevin, and cousins Natalie and Christian of Trinity. Aunt April DeLancey, uncle Wayne, and cousins Kailee and Austin of Asheboro. His absence is deeply felt by a large extended family, and by many friends that forged connections across the globe.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main Street, Randleman.
In lieu of flowers, donations to any humanitarian charity in Thomas' name are encouraged; especially to benefit the marginalized or those struggling with their mental health or suicide prevention.
Depression is a hell of a beast. Please, be kind to one another, take care of yourself, and if the burdens of life ever feel too heavy to bear, reach out for help.
Pugh Funeral Home in Randleman is honored to serve the Kennedy family.
