Mathew Wayne Phillips, age 51 of Asheboro, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at his home.

Mathew was a native of California. He was born on April 4, 1971 in Long Beach, CA to Gerald and Ramona Ruiz Mateo Phillips. Mathew was an independent soul who loved his family and his dog. Mathew was preceded in death by his mother.

Mathew is survived by his son, Kristofer Phillips of Asheboro; father, Gerald Phillips on Santee, CA; siblings, Michele (Stephen) Miller of El Cajon, CA, Marie Carmen (Jesus) Ruiz Monfillo of Spain, and Gerald (Melissa) Phillips of Temecula, CA.
