Mason Daniel Briggs

Mason Daniel Briggs, 19, of Randleman passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2026, in Asheboro, NC. He was born August 30, 2006, to Mark Daniel Briggs and Jennifer Dawn Leonard. Mason Briggs, the goofiest and tallest guy we all came to know and love. The guy who never wanted to leave his room or talk to anyone became one of the most outgoing, most hard working, courageous men ever. Mason wasn’t always around, he liked to be secluded, but when he was, man was the room lit up and laughter was heard for miles. Mason was so determined to do or get whatever he wanted and no one or nothing could stand in his way. He was so hard working even if it was just making his pizzas at his favorite pizza place (Sir Pizza) he put that work in day and night. Mason was so smart, so silly, so funny, so caring, and everything else with a cherry on top. Mason loved to go to the beach and be with his friends/family, he loved playing video games with Joshua, Emma, and Kenzie. He loved to bowl and to sing and dance but most importantly he liked to make you laugh. If you were ever down or just needed someone Mason was your guy. He turned any situation to something greater and made you smile even in your darkest times. Mason will forever be remembered for his humor, especially his “good morning” entrances regardless of time of day, his accomplishments, and definitely for how long the guy could sleep. Forever in our hearts Mason Daniel Briggs beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and uncle.

He is survived by his father Mark Briggs (Kasey) of Randleman, Mother Jennifer Leonard (Scott) of Randleman, 8 brothers Joshua Briggs (Ajaysea) of Asheboro, Kholton Briggs of Randleman, Jackson Briggs of Randleman, Kaleb Butler of Randleman, Klayton Butler of Randleman, Ryan Leonard of Denton, Dylan Leonard of Randleman and Pierce (Chanleigh) Leonard of Greensboro.  Two sisters Emma Briggs of Randleman and Mia Leonard Colridge (Jesse).  Grandparents Temple Shaw (Wayne) of Randleman, CW Cox (Becky) of Franklinville, Danny Briggs (Janice) of Randleman, and Hilda Leonard of Asheboro.  Great grandfather Bud Cox of Asheboro.  Many aunts-uncles-nieces-nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Mason will be held 1:00 pm Friday, August 7, 2026, at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St, in the "Eddie Pugh Chapel" with Rev. Landon Flinchum conducting the service.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, NC.  Visitation for Mason will Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St., Randleman, NC.
