Mary Lee Humble Routh, age 91, of Randleman passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Randolph Hospice House.

Mrs. Routh was born in Liberty, NC on May 14, 1930 to Carl and Linnie McMasters Humble.  She was retired from Eveready Battery with 20+ years of service and was formerly employed at the local Walmart as the "Sample Lady" never meeting a stranger.  Mary was a member of Balfour Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Buck, Clarence, Louisa, Dorothy, and Richard.  Mary was a lifelong avid bowler participating in several league and state tournaments.

She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Raeford Routh, sons, Tony Routh (Valerie) of Greensboro and Mark Routh of Randleman; granddaughter, Ashlea Brewer of Asheboro; sister, Jean Shumate of Shallotte; and brother, Clifford  Humble of Bossier City, LA.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 11:30 am-12:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.  A graveside service will follow on Thursday at 1:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park with Pastor Gary Mason officiating.
