Mary Alice Chriscoe Black

Mary Chriscoe Black, 92, of Randleman passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Randolph Health in Asheboro, NC. She was born August 25, 1933 in Montgomery County, NC to Everette Chriscoe and Mable Yow Chriscoe.

Mary was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and canning her bounty. Most days she could be found watching her game shows and eating candy or dipping “her snuff”. Mary enjoyed walking outside, especially with her canine companion, Bubba. She loved spending time with her family, most of all her grandkids. Mary’s memory will live on in each of our hearts.

Mary is survived by her sons, David Lucas (Debbie) of Randleman, Tony Manring; daughters, Joyce Toomes of Randleman, Casey Bradley (Craig) of Iowa; five grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her daughters, Ginger Conley and Cassidy Conley, and grandson Nicholas Toomes.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 12:30-1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S Main St in Randleman. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park with Minister Randy Macon officiating.
