Marion Hoyle Beane, age 92, of Asheboro, North Carolina, passed away on August 8, 2026, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.
Marion was born on December 4, 1933, in Randolph County to the late Calvin Harrison Beane and Iris Duetta Yow Beane.
Marion shared 47 wonderful years with the love of his life, Beulah. Together, they cherished simple pleasures, especially taking trips to the mountains to camp or heading out to enjoy a plate of Lexington barbecue. A devoted family man, Marion took immense pride in his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was their greatest supporter, and he made it a point to never miss an event they were involved in.
Known for his generous spirit, Marion was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to a stranger. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Around the house, he was a natural tinkerer who enjoyed working on projects, cultivating his garden, and adding to his unique collections. When he wasn’t busy fixing something, he found joy in the outdoors, spending countless hours hunting and camping or attending church at Mt Lebanon Baptist Church in Asheboro
In addition to his parents, Marion was preceded in death by his son, Donald Ray Beane; and his daughters, Jeannie Beane Greene and Cynthia Doreen Cranford. His siblings: Leverne Brown, Clifton Beane, Forrest Beane, Dixie Raby, James Beane, Glenn Beane, and Cloyce Lane Goins.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah Kate Nance Cranford Beane; his daughters, Gloria Small and her husband, Tony, and Rhonda Rene’ Cranford; and his sons, Clayton Jay Cranford and Brian Keith Cranford. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Kelly Ray Beane, Jeremy Lee Beane and his wife, Tonya, Melissa Gail Johnson and her husband, Keith, Kerry Ann Boles and her husband, Billy, George Douglas Vuncannon, Donnie Chase Vuncannon, Katie King Jones and her husband, Allen, and Terence Glenn King and his wife, Andrea; his great-grandchildren, Hayleigh Marie Jones, Brayden Chanz Jones, Landon Maddox Jones, Evy Paige Jones, Audrey Shea King, Tanner Glenn King, and Trey Nathaniel King; as well as numerous other beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 1:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at the Glenn "Mac" Pugh Chapel with Rev. Bryant Madren officiating.
Burial will follow at Union Grove Christian Church.
