Lloyd Addison Pope

Lloyd Addison Pope, age 77, of Greensboro went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

Mr. Pope was born in Maxton, NC on February 24, 1944 to Walter Monroe and Lucy Russ Pope.

Lloyd was employed as a truck driver. He was a people person who loved God, his family, reading the Bible, and his church, Equine Springs in Salisbury. He enjoyed woodworking and making toys. In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Pope.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Griffin Pope, son, Douglas Pope and wife Melinda, and daughter, Amy Taylor; grandchildren, Griffin, Kassidy, Sophie, Mark, Sean, Kara Taylor, and Nathan Pope; sisters, Nancy King, Deborah Short and husband Michael; brother, Walter Pope, Jr. and wife Ann.

Lloyd's body will Lie in Repose on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11:00 am at New Hope Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gaylord Millspaugh officiating.
