Lloyd Johnston Monroe

Lloyd Johnston "Jay" Monroe, age 67, of Troy, NC passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 228 Old Thayer Mill Rd., Troy. Mr. Monroe was born February 8, 1948 at Greensboro, NC the son of William Neal and Lucille Monroe, both of whom precede him in death. He was a US Marine veteran of the Vietnam War and a lover of anything outdoors. He had many friends, Jay never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by two brothers: William Neal Monroe, Jr. of CA and Joseph B. Cox and wife Beverly of Greensboro; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Pugh-Troy Funeral Home is serving the Monroe Family.
