Lisa Miller

March 4, 1969 — December 1, 2025

Crawfordville, Florida

Lisa Miller, 56, of Crawfordville, Florida, passed away on December 1, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on March 4, 1969, in Lewisville, Texas, Lisa lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She grew up in Lewisville, where her easygoing nature and genuine kindness made her someone people were naturally drawn to. Over the years, she built a life defined not by grand gestures, but by steady, everyday acts of love and generosity that left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Lisa proudly served her country in the United States Air Force for seven years. Following her military service, she continued her life of service by pursuing a career in nursing—a calling that reflected her natural compassion and dedication to others. She earned her Registered Nursing degree from Wayne Community College and later her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mount Olive. To Lisa, caring for others was more than a profession—it was who she was at her core.

Lisa found joy and peace on the water, where she felt most at home. Whether fishing, spending time with friends at the sandbar, or simply boating with loved ones, those moments brought her the greatest happiness. She also cherished traveling in the motorhome, creating lasting memories on the road with her family and embracing life’s simple adventures along the way.

Lisa is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Todd Miller (53); her daughters, Sierra Rothra (29) of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Kyleigh Miller (23) of Greenville, North Carolina; as well as her brother, Jack Starnes, and her sister, Christina Starnes. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother-in-law, Mona Miller.

Though her family’s hearts are broken by this loss, they find comfort in the love, laughter, and memories Lisa leaves behind. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on May 30 at 1:00 PM at New Hope Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at Flag Springs United Methodist Church, 5852 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro, North Carolina 27205.
