Linda Ann Hunt Davis

Linda Ann Hunt Davis, 79, of Sophia passed away Monday, July 20, 2026 in Asheboro, NC along with her loving partner of 20 years, Wesley Hodgin. She was born June 10, 1947 in Randolph County, NC to Walter Hunt, Jr. and Alene Hazletine Small Hunt.

Linda was a beloved and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Linda enjoyed being outdoors and around water; she loved fishing and being at Badin Lake and spending weekends at Long Beach. After retiring from Drexel Heritage, Linda found she thrived in the role of caretaker for her mother, her three children, and grandchildren. She loved dancing and listening to music and bringing joy to those around her. Linda was a member of Mountain View Church and will be missed by all.

Linda is survived by sons, Jeffrey Dale Davis (Dianna) of Archdale and Jonathan Hunt Davis of Archdale; daughter, DeAnna Gaye Davis of High Point; grandchildren, Crystal Lewis (Bryan), Preston Smith, Hannah Scheppegrell (Patrick), Ryan Davis; great-grandchildren, Jessie Lewis and Bryson Lewis; brothers Donald Hunt (Elaine) and Roger Hunt (Judy); sister-in-law, Cathy Hunt; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her brother, Mark Hunt and her late husband, Dale Davis.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 12:00 PM – 1:50 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave, Asheboro. Funeral service will start at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Reverend Wayne Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
